I don’t have much to say, since I haven’t seen the movie (other than the fake southern accents, it sounds like it’s up my alley), but the Dante’s Peak/Volcano comparison to Parasite brings up an interesting point that these are not Hollywood-friendly movies that were released in rapid succession just before the public discourse lurched from “we like the idea of giving people medical care, but how would we ever pay for it?” to “oh, hey, those people we’ve been dismissing and trying not to pay a living wage turn out to have our lives in their hands all the time!”

I’m not suggesting some sort of wacky conspiracy, of course, but rather that, in future-classic motion picture “Corona v Irus: Dawn of Sourdough,” those movies are definitely going to be on a TV in the background during the prelude as ham-fisted foreshadowing.
