I never got into Harry Potter, but it’s weird that there are so many examples of telling a good story where the audience knows the ending (focusing on the journey, twisting around the reasons for events we’ve seen, etc.), but so many prequels don’t seem to…know that? Or is it that they want the franchises perpetually “stuck in the second reel,” so there can’t be any real developments without limiting the future?
Oh, well. I hope the new membership plan works better; it convinced me, at least, and it’s probably worth it just for an account that pre-populates my name. Not that I won’t be listening to lots of things…
