Mark, I wanted to say I really appreciated you bringing up the present moment towards the beginning of the episode. You’ve all convinced me that this is a movie worth watching and interrogating but I got this sense from the trailer, and it hasn’t changed, that this is probably not a movie I’m in the right place to watch right now. I also think there’s a certain luxury to exploring the discomfort of the movie when I already spend too much time feeling discomfited these days.
