Here’s an interesting Super Bowl ad story: the tech news website The Verge (which I read religiously) recently ran a Super Bowl ad, basically as a joke. It only cost $700, and it played only in Helena, Montana, but they were still able to say truthfully that they ran a Super Bowl ad.

The whole thing (I think) is a commentary both on how traditional TV ads still matter in the age of the Internet, as well as how silly it is that that’s still the case (I think).
