    Great as always, guys!

I’d love to hear you both chat about Sleigh Bells, the Brooklyn noise pop duo. Much of their material deals with power and relationships among high school teens (their first album, Treats, has a photo of cheerleaders on the cover), so the lyrical content seems within the remit of TFT, and the music is a fascinating melange of synth, chants, pounding beats and power guitar, a definite blasphemous mixing of different musical faiths.

    Thanks, Tulse!

Sleigh Bells is definitely on our short list of artists to discuss during this “semester”. There is a bumper crop of new or forthcoming albums that I want to discuss (Arcade Fire, Sky Ferreira, M.I.A., Lady Gaga), but Sleigh Bells is definitely on the syllabus!

SUPER interested to hear TFT discuss Arcade Fire’s Reflektor, (especially the song of that name (Is there a term for this? It’s not eponymous right?) and the accompanying video clip). Infact setting the album to Black Orpheus is it’s whole thing.

I’m also wondering it Arcade Fire is strictly TFT material? That is to say, is it something ‘the kids these days and their rainbow parties’ are into? They seem to skew older.

I actually like that. I am subscribing to their channel.

And it’s funny that all the YouTube ads are scanning the name “Chvrches” and returning ads for Christian dating sites.
