Episode 454: SNAFU

On the Overthinking It Podcast, we analyze the now-infamous video of the BBC Korea Expert’s children interrupting his broadcast, and talk generally about what happens when things go wrong.

Peter Fenzel, Mark Lee, and Matthew Wrather rush into the bedroom to gather up the discursive children interrupting the important analysis of the BCC Korea Expert’s video. In the end, only one thing is clear: If you imbue the graven image with some sort of philosophical quality or some sort of normative quality, you’ve probably done something false.

Great episode! I had to listen to it twice to unpack all the themes you were dishing out so quickly. I usually don’t comment because the comments of OTI are usually very intricate and meaningful additions to the podcast discussion, and I’ve been biding my time to craft that perfect, nuanced contribution. But in line with the theme of abandoning the obsession over impressions of public perfection, all I have to say is; great episode. :)

Comment away! I’ve definitely felt the same way in the past, like anything I comment just wouldn’t add enough to the conversation, but trust me, no one’s judging. :)
