NY Comic-Con 2012: Costume Photo Gallery

Cosplay highlights from New York Comic-Con 2012.

For the fourth straight year, Overthinking It has completed the great East Coast Annual Pilgrimage of Geekdom: New York Comic-Con. This year, as with previous years, the costumes were the main attraction, and we’ve assembled a photo gallery of the highlights for your viewing pleasure.

If I had to choose a favorite, I’d say “Wonder Wobear.” Hands down. Let us know your favorites in the comments!

Is that supposed to be a Mr T.-Warhammer 40K mashup, or something along those lines? If so, that’s my favorite for sure.

Some of those took guts to wear: the Pyro, for getting a (hopefully empty) propane tank into a crowded convention; the Breaking Bad guys for carrying around what was probably a convincing meth substitute; and Captain Planet, for obvious reasons. Is there actually someone inside that Bain Capital costume?

The Bain Capital costume was not occupied (see what I did there?). I would have loved to have seen it hulk around the convention floor and pose with the various costumed Batmans.

Or come stalking up very quietly behind them and sneak into their carefully-posed-for pictures.

I was witness to his bain-hulking later in the con! It was pretty terrifying.
