As you know if you have talked to me within the past month, I will be attending Wrestlemania on Sunday. I’ve been watching a ton of wrestling to get ready, and one thing that has struck me is just how much better the Rock is than everyone else. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy a LOT of wrestlers, and I think they’re really talented entertainers. But when you watch a random heel give some snarling, menacing speech, and then you see the Rock get the crowd on its feet with just a few perfectly timed pauses, there is no contest. Maybe Stone Cold Steve Austin had that kind of mic presence in his prime, but the Rock is just more fun.
I’m not the biggest Rockologist, and it would take way more than one YouTube video to discuss what makes him the best at what he does. But if you’ve never seen the Rock in action and you’d like to know what all the fuss is about, this is a start.
