Look at our homepage. What on earth are Google AdSense and its content matching algorithms thinking? Guesses in the comments.

I assume it’s because “Sufjan” is a Muslim name (think “Sufism”) and Google wants to get Sufjan a girlfriend?

Uh… yeah, this might be my fault. On the one hand, I’d say that stuff like this tends to happen when there’s a whole section of one’s podcast dedicated to the Turkish language and grammar. But on the other hand, that would require someone listing to our podcast, non? Alas…

I’ll also take this opportunity to apologize; I didn’t realize that – by incredible coincidence – in Turkish, the words “over tinking eet” translate to “Free Baklava.” Shoulda’ thought of that before I posted this on the Turk message boards.*

Of course, now that I pushed this post, I’m seeing Muslim online dating sites every other reload.

…and now I see an ad for a Jewish dating website. I’m glad Google AdSense deems this site’s content as attractive to both Muslims and Jews.

Today, pointless naval-gazing; tomorrow, brokering Israeli-Palestinian dialogue?
