I’m in the midst of listening to the episode, but while doing so, I decided to check out New Synths and New Guitars on Spotify to see what’s up. I happened to notice New Synths had both Taylor Swift and Aphex Twin on it, and so I was wondering if you were aware of Aphex Swift? Comedian/cartoonist/raconteur/gadabout David Rees has been doing some mashups of the two this week. Which, you know, isn’t a wholly original concept, but I am a sucker for a mashup, and there is an amusement in the juxtaposition.
I’m also going to assume that Zola Jesus is going to end up getting talked about soon, since she’s the only artist on both lists, which is either an error, or intriguing grist for conversation.
