Namely, they're rich kids who can do whatever they want, who don't really go to classes (although they are high school students), and are never held accountable for anything. In conjunction with people liking amatory television particularly with a younger cast, I think Gossip Girl has some merit, if only just a little. But, this new thread in the show with Serena and Blair seems to be going in the wrong direction. My sister got her hooked, and now she's trying to get me. I was about to give in, until I found out it was on at the same time as the Sarah Connor Chronicles. I was about to watch. But this article has convinced me not to give in to my mother's hounding. I said to myself a couple of years ago that life it too short for mediocrity. I said, From now on, I will only watch shows that are good or very, very, wonderfully bad. Unless Gossip Girl fits in one of those two categories, I'm out.
