Regarding Bear's comment about pop music inserted awkwardly into movies/TV, I was wondering how he felt about the use of the Johnny Cash song "When the Man Comes to Town" in the "Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles" season finale. I myself had mixed feelings; the lyrics were an almost perfect fit, but musically felt a little out of place with that particular scene of surreal Terminator vs. Police violence. Also, other instances of pop music in Terminator and their appropriateness: T1: Is there any? There's that song playing in the background at the "Tech Noir" nightclub, but I think it was composed specifically for the movie. T2: Obviously, "Bad to the Bone." In James Cameron's director commentary, he discusses the conflict over putting this piece of music in the scene when Arnold steps out of the biker bar, but I think it works. T3: "Macho Man."
